About Lassiter Williams, LSW
You've been working so hard to keep it all together for everyone else. You're allowed to need something for yourself. If you've spent most of your life being the capable one — the one who manages, anticipates, holds it all — you may have arrived at a point where that strategy is costing you more than it's giving you. Maybe something has shifted: a loss, a transition, a quiet sense that the life you've been living doesn't quite fit anymore. Maybe you can't name it yet, but you know something needs to change.
That's where I come in.
I'm a licensed social worker working toward my clinical license under supervision, and I specialize in life transitions, aging, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the complicated relationship many of us have with our bodies and ourselves. My approach is relational and attentive to the whole person — I work with both the stories you tell yourself and the ways stress and emotion live in your body. I draw on narrative therapy, cognitive approaches, and mindfulness, and I incorporate EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/tapping) as a targeted tool for releasing what talk alone doesn't always reach. I work collaboratively, I take you seriously, and I will not pathologize the very reasonable ways you've learned to cope. But I will help you figure out what is no longer serving you. So you can make room for more of what you actually want.
If you're ready to stop managing and start actually living, I'd love to talk.
