You don't have to go through this alone

There is truly nothing like experiencing grief and loss of a loved one. It is an exquisite pain, one that’s difficult to understand. The human condition requires grief because there is always loss, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be supported through it. Grief is not linear, and there is no perfect right answer for how to feel better, but there are many ways to make it feel less crushing. 

Further, there are so many ways to lose someone that don’t feel exactly like grief. We call this ambiguous loss, or the ways that you can lose access to someone that you love without a death. Maybe you don’t know where a loved one is, or they chose a different path that did not include you. Perhaps you are mourning the end of a relationship that you simply can’t seem to shake. Grief-focused counseling and therapy can help you heal in a way that feels comfortable to you.
